Relief for Mama's Aching Back: Resting comfortably, relaxing deeply and managing back pain throughout your pregnancy

Wednesday, July 1at 7pm
at the Blue Lotus Center for Health in Banker's Hill

Sleeping and resting comfortably help you minimize and recover from the aches and pains of pregnancy. However ask any pregnant woman and you will learn quickly that getting a good night's sleep is not so easy! While countless trips to the restroom are one major culprit, many women find it increasingly difficult to get comfortable in their own beds. Fortunately, you have options! In this workshop, we will explore many strategies to help you rest more comfortably, cope with back pain, and relax deeply as you prepare for childbirth.

Put on some comfy clothes, grab your pillows and join us for an evening of pillow know-how and relaxation to help you rest comfortably throughout your pregnancy. In this hands-on workshop we will explore:

* Safe and comfortable sleeping positions for mamas-to-be (it's not as limited as you think!)

* Key principles for using pillows to maintain proper alignment while sleeping and to keep you comfortable at night

* A guide to the many, many pregnancy pillows on the market (and do-it-yourself options at home)

Feedback from our last workshop:

“I wanted to thank you for a nice evening learning last night. I'm awake this morning with zero back pain:) Yeah!!! I figured out the maternity pillow doing what you showed me. So thank you. It was a success. Thanks again, Kristen”

"Your pillow workshop was really helpful for me. Since your workshop I’ve experimented with different pillow configurations and I think it has been an important contributor to my sleeping so well into my third trimester."

"The workshop was great. It was good to have good postures and supports confirmed. I'd just started having trouble with my hips and now I understand how to prevent that. I also know I should buy more pillows, especially the wedge-shaped one."

Each workshop is limited to 6 people; $20 per person. You must pre-register to attend; please email us or call (619) 847-9231 to reserve your space.

The workshop is open to healthy mamas in all stages of pregnancy. If you have questions about your specific situation, please call to discuss if this will be appropriate for you.
